A young girl growing up on the streets and in front of apartment buildings of a big city, back when concrete had not yet pierced the sky. Handan is the only daughter of a beautiful homemaker mother and a meticulous lawyer father. Growing up through times when the streets, much like the home she shares with her parents, are filled with unease, she eventually finds her own way and becomes a young woman...
Her head and heart are filled with voices: a melody coming from somewhere far away, birds, the sound of railway tracks, the rustling of a joyful gift package, the voices of her mother, father, grandmother and aunt... Then, suddenly, several sounds of “crack,” echoing at different times against the walls of different homes...
When we meet Handan as an adult woman, she will already have immersed herself in a story stretching from her childhood to the present day. The story of Handan and her mother Feri, emerging from the depths of her memory, unfolds across a narrative spanning from the 1960s to the present.
Written by Murat Mahmutyazıcıoğlu, this one-woman play, whose story intersects with the lives of many, meets audiences under the direction of Hira Tekindor, with a performance by Zerrin Tekindor.
