Herbert von Karajan and Leonard Bernstein… Two of the greatest conductors in the history of the music world. With their adventurous and inspiring life stories, they have been widely debated—and continue to be so. Fierce rivalry, jealousy, and admiration… It feels like a clash between Europe and America. A confrontation between bold, instinct-driven expression and strict, disciplined control. And within the story, the unresolved tensions left after the Second World War are also woven into the narrative. Come and witness the clash of giants!

The living room of a British bourgeois family, furnished with British armchairs. An English evening.

Amidst the ruins, Mr. and Mrs. Smith will welcome Mr. and Mrs. Martin into their home, holding on to the last remnants of their Englishness. But how is it that the Maid, Mary, dares to recite poetry to the Fire Chief when there isn’t even the slightest sign of a fire in the house?

If they’re somewhere around London, who is driving us mad? What is it that alienates us so much? If the Diva is actually bald, when will our reality finally arrive? Who benefits from keeping this confusion alive?

Let’s not try to find out. Let’s leave everything exactly as it is. (Shall we?)

From Eugène Ionesco’s unique pen comes a play that perfectly blends abstraction and absurdism. The Bald Diva is at Oyun Atölyesi this season, isn’t it?

(One act; 80 minutes)

This concert is much more than a night of classical repertoire.

On stage, Bergüzar Korel doesn’t simply sing the songs; she tells them from one heart to another.

Throughout her acting career, Korel has followed the stories behind every character. On this special night, she transforms music into a form of storytelling. Songs that have accompanied our childhoods, youth, first thrills, and unfinished sentences come to life again through her voice, interpretation, and unique storytelling on stage. Each song becomes a memory, an emotion, a little scene of its own.

It is an evening that reminds us that love is made not only of grand words, but also of what we remember, what we share, and what we quietly feel.

As beloved songs are reimagined on stage, the audience becomes part of the story too. Sometimes singing along softly, sometimes joining in silently, and sometimes simply closing their eyes and listening…
