PALAMUT ZAMANI
The event is performed in Turkish. It is not suitable for audiences who do not speak Turkish.
Some encounters arrive like a season, quietly changing the course of life and the rhythm of the heart. Palamut Zamanı (Bonito Season) is the story of two women and a group of people whose meeting seems accidental, yet carries the depth of destiny.
On one side is a young woman overshadowed by society’s judgment and the culture of public shaming. On the other is a free-spirited woman who has built her own way of life in a coastal town, blending with the sea breeze through her joy, energy, and unapologetic individuality. Their encounter evolves into both a personal and intergenerational reckoning, giving rise to a story of healing shaped by moments of sorrow, laughter, and connection.
Palamut Zamanı is the story of everyone who walks the fine line between the fear of being forgotten and the courage to begin again. It invites audiences not only into the lives of Burcu and Nermin, but also into the silences, hopes, and turning points of the people who accompany them on this journey.
Perhaps what we all need most is to listen to one another’s stories.
