Elif Sanchez, who released her album "Mi Voz" in Spanish and gave her first concert at Zorlu PSM, will meet her audience with her selection full of genre transitions at touché on June 16th, as part of the Wings concerts!
Born in Istanbul and starting her music education with the support of her family, Elif Sanchez developed her musical style by blending elements of Turkish Folk Music, Classical Music, and Jazz, after studying classical music oboe and choir at Istanbul University State Conservatory.
The artist, who has performed at some of Turkey's most important concert halls, represented Turkey at the "FIMU-Festival International de Musique Universitaire" held in Belford, France, and later released her first album "Elif Sanchez" with her unique interpretations of beloved folk songs from Anatolia and Azerbaijan, under the label Pasion Turca, on all digital platforms.
Elif Sanchez studied jazz vocals on a full scholarship at the Jazz Department of Bahçeşehir University, and had the opportunity to work with valuable jazz musicians such as Sibel Köse, Baki Duyarlar, Şevket Akıncı, Amy London, Maucha Adnet, and Duduka Da Fonseca.
Sanchez's second album "MI VOZ" consists of 11 pieces, including 7 original Javier Limon songs, 2 Spanish covers, and the song "Vuelve (Kurşun Adres Sormaz Ki)" which she performed as a duet with Kenan Doğulu. The first single from the album, "A Veces," whose lyrics, music, and arrangement are by Javier Limon, was chosen.
