Scenes of a Body is a poetic and intimate performance exploring the body’s memory, transformation, boundaries, and possibilities. Through movement, gesture, and the presence of the body itself, the performance invites children to explore their own bodies with curiosity and care, pay attention to every detail, and experience the expressive potential of the body.
In this performance, the body itself becomes the stage: the body of a woman, the body of a former gymnast, the body of a performer. A body that changes over time, carries the traces of lived experiences, and seeks to understand and embrace itself in all its parts…
Developed through an artistic research process carried out in nurseries and preschools, Scenes of a Body was created with and for children. Through this collaborative creative process, the body becomes a space for imagination, transformation, and discovery, opening up new ways of building connections between children and the performer.
Previously staged in Italy, this wordless theatre performance, Scenes of a Body, invites audiences aged 1 and over into a captivating world of movement and bodily expression.
