%100 Müzik Sunar: Arab Strap live at %100 Studio on November 27, 2026!
Critically acclaimed and charting high upon its release in 2021, As Days Get Dark marked Arab Strap’s first album since 2005 and the beginning of a bold new chapter for the band—one that continues to expand and evolve today.
What the band refers to as their “first phase” dates back to 1995, when Malcolm Middleton and Aidan Moffat began collaborating. Blending lo-fi, post-rock, and alternative music with a distinctive edge, Arab Strap quickly carved out a unique identity, driven by Moffat’s deeply personal, romantic, and darkly humorous lyrics. Supported early on by John Peel, the band signed to a major label and released six albums before disbanding in 2006—records that remain highly influential and widely celebrated.
Today, the opening tracks of their latest album signal a clear focus on the future rather than the past. “Allatonceness” bursts forward with pounding drums and some of the heaviest riffs the band has ever produced, while “Bliss” follows as one of their most dance-driven and electronic tracks to date.
The result is a record that combines the immediacy of standalone singles with the depth and balance of a long, carefully developed album. It’s packed with powerful, dynamic songs that stand out both for their musical intensity and the sharpness of Moffat’s lyricism.
This new album is a bold, contemporary statement—one that respects Arab Strap’s past while pushing decisively forward.
