Founded in 1994 by Bolshoi Theatre soloist Gediminas Taranda, The Imperial Russian Ballet Company has achieved great success through collaborations with world-renowned dancers and performances at numerous international festivals. Presented by Ment Event–Armoni, the company returns to Istanbul for its fourth season with Tchaikovsky’s timeless masterpiece, Swan Lake, as part of its world tour, following sold-out performances in previous seasons.
One of the most distinguished works of classical Russian ballet, Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable masterpiece, Swan Lake, brings to the stage the enchanting story of Odette, who is transformed into a swan by an evil force, weaving together themes of love, betrayal and transformation in a fairytale atmosphere. The young prince’s eternal love for the Swan Princess and the deception orchestrated by the evil sorceress Odile lie at the heart of this captivating tale.
With its magnificent choreography, dazzling costumes and Tchaikovsky’s immortal score, Swan Lake promises an unforgettable artistic experience for audiences of all ages.
