LUDOVICO EINAUDI - UNDERWATER TOUR
Ludovico Einaudi, one of today's greatest composers and pianists, will be at Zorlu PSM two nights in a row as part of the "Underwater Tour"!
Ludovico Einaudi - piano Federico Mecozzi - violin Redi Hasa - cello Francesco Arcuri - percussions
Pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi, who built a musical bridge between old and new by blending classical music with elements and instruments of contemporary genres such as rock and electronic, was born on November 23, 1955 in Turin. Ludovico, who was introduced to the piano at the age of 6 through his mother, who also plays the piano, stepped into a new world with the most influential names of the 60s, Hendrix, Dylan and Stones, thanks to his older sister.
Einaudi studied at the Milan Conservatory under Luciano Berio and graduated with a Composition/Composition diploma. In 1982, the artist won a scholarship to the Tanglewood Music Festival thanks to his talents, and thanks to this experience, he opened himself to the influences of different genres such as minimalism, world music and pop music.
Einaudi, who is at the top of the world of composition, has produced ballets such as Sul Filo d'Orfeo (1984), Time-Out (1988) and The Wild Man (1991). He released his first collection of solo performances in 1996.
In the summer of 2021, Einaudi took his music back to nature, in a series of eleven concerts immersed in the breathtaking scenery of national parks, nature reserves, creeks, valleys, lakes and pristine mountain meadows, reachable only on foot, at dawn, at dusk and under starry skies. An invitation to merge the musical experience with the natural landscape. But it was the experience of suspended time during the lockdown, "with the world outside quiet and silent", that led to the new solo piano album, released in 2022 and entitled "Underwater", "a metaphor for fluidity without external interference".
A fresher and more immediate approach to music, in the flow of emotions, in an intimate conversation, face to face, with the piano". In October 2022 he received the Opus Klassik award for the album “Underwater”.
