People Places Things – A Play About Courage

“We don’t believe in limits. We believe in pioneering. We believe in vision.

Even if it seems impossible to everyone else, we say yes.

How beautiful it is to be alive.

To swim in the sea, to look at the sky, to feel the sun on your skin…

To climb a mountain or to take even a single step up a staircase.

To love and be loved.

How beautiful it is…

Now it’s mine! Now it’s yours! Now it’s ours!

And this is just the beginning.”

People Places Things is the story of a person trying to free themselves from the burdens of the past.

The story of Nina, Emma, Sarah—or, for now, Sarah.

Who can say for sure?

As long as we can face our fears, confront reality, and, most importantly, love ourselves, we exist.

If life is a battle for existence,

and if existence begins with family,

sometimes, you need to break free from all dependencies.

Even from your mother.

“A coyote only falls when it looks down. In reality, it can run in the air,
but the moment it realizes it should fall, gravity kicks in. That was my spiritual awakening.”

This play reminds us of long-lost siblings, family dinners that were never shared,
and that we should never look down.

Can we keep going without looking down?

I don’t know.

Maybe.
