Celebrating their 30th anniversary, legendary band Blonde Redhead will take the stage at Zorlu PSM on June 8 as part of the PSM Loves Summer by %100 Müzik!
Throughout their 30-year career, Blonde Redhead has crafted their unique style by integrating indie rock, dream pop, shoegaze influences, and experimental sounds, occasionally incorporating string instruments and piano into their music. Formed in New York in 1993, the band stands as one of the most successful representatives of the transposition between cultures and genres. Vocalist Kazu Makino's powerful voice, accompanied by the instruments of brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace, creates melancholic and emotionally charged tunes.
Releasing their first studio album since 2014 in September 2023, the band will grace the stage at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage to celebrate both their new album and their 30th anniversary. The album, titled "Sit Down for Dinner," was written and recorded over a five-year period in New York, Milan, and Tuscany. It is flawlessly structured, filled with sensitivity, clarity, and resolve. Album’s opening track, “Snowman,” was inspired by the Swingle Singers’ acapella renditions of Bach.
