ANTONIO SÁNCHEZ QUARTET

Mexican drummer Antonio Sánchez has collaborated with many musicians and bands in his country's Latin, jazz and rock scene since his youth. Following 9 albums and 18 years as one of the most cherished of Pat Metheny’s collaborators, Sánchez has won four Grammy Awards to date. One of the turning points of his career certainly was the soundtrack he composed for Alejandro González Iñárritu's 2014 film Birdman. His latest album SHIFT (Bad Hombre Vol. II), which features a number of guests, is a recording on which he plays all the instruments and produced himself. One of the most exciting virtuosos of our time, Antonio Sánchez will be at Akbank Jazz Festival with his quartet consisting of Seamus Blake on saxophone, described by John Scofield as “extraordinary”; Aydın Esen on piano, who in addition to his solo recordings has collaborated with Pat Metheny, Miroslav Vitous, Dave Liebman and George Garzone; and Orlando le Fleming on bass, one of the regulars and one of the most unique voices of the US improvisation scene. The performance will take place on October 13 at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Platinum Stage.

The event is suitable for participants aged 18 and over.

Since food and beverages are sold in Zorlu PSM areas, it is forbidden to bring food and beverages into the event venue from outside.

It is forbidden to bring cameras and cameras into the event venue.

Smoking is strictly forbidden in the indoor areas of Zorlu PSM. Those who do not comply with this rule will be removed from the event area without warning and tickets will not be refunded.

Student tickets are limited to capacity and valid with a student ID. Student ID must be presented to the staff on the day of the event.

Zorlu PSM reserves the right to refuse admission to the event venue by refunding the ticket fee.
