JOB
The event is performed in Turkish. It is not suitable for audiences who do not speak Turkish.
“Power! For the first time in my life, I have—or I had—power that could make a difference…”
How do we root out evil from our lives? Where does this darkness come from, and how far does it spread?
They live among us. Waiting on the same subway carriage, sitting next to us in cinemas, a few cars ahead in traffic, or perhaps sipping drinks at the next table during dinner. Anything is possible—there are eight faces of the cube and a thousand forms of humanity. Are you ready to see every side of it?
Job follows Şirin, an employee at a major tech company who is suspended after a severe nervous breakdown. In order to return to work, she is forced to visit a therapist. With a gun in her bag and an unextinguishable fire in her heart, every moment inside that room becomes a matter of life and death.
While adapting and directing Max Wolf Friedlich’s play, Kerem Deren and Çisil Hazal Tenim confront us with the rawest and darkest layers of trauma, power dynamics, and the therapist–patient relationship.
