SYML, the solo project of Seattle-based musician and producer Brian Fennell, reaches millions of listeners worldwide with his atmospheric, emotionally charged music, inspired by the instincts that draw us toward sanctuary, whether in a place or in a person.
Classically trained in piano from a young age, Fennell later taught himself production, programming, and guitar, developing the distinctive musical world that has become synonymous with SYML. Making a strong entrance into the music scene with his self-titled debut album in 2019, the artist reached a wide audience with multi-platinum hit “Where’s My Love” and Gold-certified “Girl.”
With more than five billion streams worldwide, SYML has built a strong and intimate connection with his listeners, while his music has also found a prominent place in film and television. His songs have been featured in productions such as Maxton Hall and The Summer I Turned Pretty, while one of his works was sampled by Lana Del Rey on “Paris, TX,” from her 2023 Grammy-nominated album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.
One of the most personal chapters of SYML’s musical journey, The Day My Father Died, was recorded at Seattle’s Studio X with Grammy-winning producer Phil Ek. The album features collaborations with notable artists including Guy Garvey of Elbow, Lucius, Sara Watkins, and Charlotte Lawrence.
His third studio album, Nobody Lives Here, delves even deeper into themes of grief, loss, and mortality. Written, recorded, and produced by Brian Fennell alongside collaborator Brian Eichelberger, the album offers an intimate reflection on the contradictions of being alive: fleeting yet meaningful, fragile yet worth holding onto. The Seattle Times praised Fennell as an artist capable of creating “an instant-tears piano melody” while using minimalism to achieve profound emotional impact.
Following his sold-out Nobody Lives Here tour across North America, the UK, and Europe, SYML has further cemented his reputation as one of indie music’s most emotionally resonant live performers. Event Guidelines
Zorlu PSM reserves the right to make changes to the event venue, programme, and event schedule.
This event is suitable for guests aged 18 and over. Guests under the age of 18 will not be admitted.
All attendees, regardless of age, are required to hold a valid ticket for entry.
Doors open at 08:30 PM and the event begins at 09:30 PM.
Entry after the event has started may be restricted or denied in accordance with the organiser’s procedures. Tickets & Entry
A valid ticket, together with the event wristband issued upon entry, grants access to the venue during the hours determined by the organiser.
Event wristbands must be worn at all times throughout the event. Removing, damaging, or losing the wristband will invalidate entry rights. Zorlu PSM and the organiser accept no responsibility for lost tickets or wristbands.
Zorlu PSM reserves the right to verify the identity of all ticket holders upon entry. Only a valid government-issued ID card, passport, or driver’s licence will be accepted. Screenshots, digital copies, or any other forms of identification will not be considered valid.
For security reasons, all guests may be subject to bag and personal searches upon entry. Guests who refuse security screening may be denied admission.
Discounted tickets purchased under the Garanti BBVA Genç category are subject to availability and are valid only upon presentation of a valid student ID.
Zorlu PSM reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of discounted ticket categories.
Zorlu PSM reserves the right to refuse admission to any guest deemed unsuitable for the event, with a full refund of the ticket price.
Venue Rules
Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the venue, as food and beverages are available for purchase within Zorlu PSM.
Professional cameras, photography equipment, audio recording devices, and professional video recording equipment are not permitted unless otherwise authorised by the organiser.
Knives, sharp objects, firearms, explosives, flammable materials, or any items deemed hazardous or capable of compromising public safety are strictly prohibited.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas of Zorlu PSM. Guests found smoking indoors may be removed from the venue without prior warning and without entitlement to a ticket refund.
Cloakroom facilities are available. Zorlu PSM accepts no responsibility for personal belongings that have not been deposited in the cloakroom.
Suitcases and large backpacks are not permitted inside the auditorium and must be left at the cloakroom.
Zorlu PSM accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or unattended personal belongings. Any found items will be handled in accordance with Zorlu PSM’s Lost Property Procedure.
Zorlu PSM reserves the right to remove, without refund, any guest who violates these Event Guidelines, disrupts the experience of other guests, or poses a risk to the safety and security of the event.
Health & Safety
Some events may include intense lighting, laser, strobe, or other visual effects that may not be suitable for guests with photosensitive epilepsy.
Lighting and laser effects used during the event may damage mobile phone cameras. Guests are advised to keep their devices away from direct exposure to such effects.
In the event of an emergency, all guests must follow the instructions of venue staff and security personnel.
Photography & Recording
Photography, video, and audio recordings may be taken by Zorlu PSM and/or the organiser during the event.
By attending the event, guests acknowledge and agree that photographs, video, and audio recordings in which they may appear may be used by Zorlu PSM and/or the organiser for promotional, advertising, marketing, and corporate communication purposes without further notice or compensation.
Food & Beverage
Guests wishing to dine at Cheers Restaurant before the event are recommended to make a reservation by calling +90 212 912 37 76, subject to availability.
Focamia, Ppang, Rancero, The Grungy (located within Bites & Beats), and Taş Bar inside Zorlu PSM are available without a reservation.
Transportation
Zorlu PSM is directly accessible via Gayrettepe Metro Station on the M2 Yenikapı–Hacıosman Metro Line. Guests are encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible.
Guests travelling by private vehicle are advised to arrive at least one hour before the event due to possible congestion at Zorlu Center parking and valet services.
