Tash Sultana
Tash Sultana, is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, engineer and entrepreneur who has been dubbed one of the hardest working music exports in Australia. Tash has just announced the first leg of a huge 2023 international touring schedule. Tash will be headlining their way around Europe and the United Kingdom in June and July 2023.
Tash was back touring the globe in 2022 where they performed to over 350 '000 fans, headlining festivals and selling out huge theater and arena shows.
Tash began playing the guitar at the age of 3 after being gifted the instrument from their late grandfather. From there Tash began to pick up other instruments such as piano, keyboard, synth, bass, drums, percussion, beat making, sampling, beatboxing, trumpet, saxophone, flute, mandolin, oud, harmonica, lap steel and panpipes. Tash developed their own unique style of playing involving percussive and finger tapping style guitar coinciding with a vocal range stretching 5 octaves. Tash and their team also designed a custom loop station which took over two years to build to meet the needs of the intricate and one-of-a-kind performance style.
It all began with the refusal to conform to normal society, this pushed the young artist into pubs and clubs and then eventually onto the streets of Melbourne to busk, where they harnessed crowd stopping performances on Melbourne’s famous ‘Bourke Street’. From there a viral bedroom recording of ‘Jungle’ in 2016 skyrocketed the artist off the street and in front of the world.
Tash has since broken attendance records at sold out global arena tours, selling out the iconic ‘Red Rocks Amphitheatre’ for the second time in just 5 minutes. In 2019 alone, Tash sold over half a million tickets across the globe. Tash’s second album the #1 ARIA charting ‘TERRA FIRMA’ arrived 3 years after the ARIA- winning debut album, FLOW STATE.
In 2022 Tash released a special MTV Unplugged (Live in Melbourne) album featuring live performances recorded at Melbourne’s Iconic Chapel off Chapel. The record is an intimate look at an artist thriving in their natural element. Tash’s MTV unplugged performance was the most successful out of any Australian artist to date having their performance shared in over 160+ different countries.
Tash has teased new music for 2023 and these shows are just the start of another huge year.
Amistat Twin brothers Josef and Jan Prasil were born in Germany and raised in Italy. With parents originating from Czech Republic and Australia, they eventually moved to Australia to further propel their music career. Finding themselves in the soundscape of a modern Simon and Garfunkel with influences from the likes of Ben Hover, Kings of Convenience and Kodaline, Amistat are definitely best enjoyed live. A safe place to be, to feel, to heal and to inspire.
Their vocal harmonies create an unique synergy which stems from their contrasting personalities and musical styles blending together. Their authentic lyrics speak of what they have learned to be true in life and love, sharing their stories and songs about these lessons most of which they wrote while on the road. Born with the closeness and understanding that only twins could share, Josef and Jan produce a unique synergy through the use of tight knit harmonies, shaped by an honest, storytelling vocal tone.
Amistat is able to communicate their inspirations, drawn from a life on the road, infusing their sentiments, hopes and ambitions to develop a unique and honest message to their audiences.
