The pioneers of djent movement, progressive metal band TesseracT will take the stage at Studio on July 8!
The band was formed in 2003 by guitarist Alec "Acle" Kahney and As of 2018, they have released four studio albums: as well as a live album, 3 EPs and 3 singles. The band also toured with the likes of Megadeth, Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders, Karnivool, Devin Townsend Project and Gojira.
Their debut "One" was released in 2011 after inclusion of Daniel Tompkins as vocalist. After numerous concerts at the same year, Tomkins has left the band. In the early of 2012, new vocalist was introduced to the fans and new EP “Perspective” was released soon.
As the time they start for the new album, vocalist has been changed once again. This time Ashe O’Hara was behind the microphone. 10 song included second album, “Altered State” was released in 2013. The album has received critical acclaim from magazines such as All Music and New Noise. It was described as “Greatest albums ever made” and the band was mentioned as “One of the most creative, daring, and innovative bands of today.”
Shortly after Daniel Tompkins reunited with the band in 2015, writing and recording for a new album has began. Third TesseracT album “Solaris” was released in the same year. It was credited as one of the best djent albums of the year and was compared with masterpieces like Dream Theater's Octavarium and 2001 Space Odyssey.
One of the most successful representatives of today's modern metal music, TesseracT, released their recent album “Sounder” in April 2018. Kahney, also the producer of the band, is accompanied by James Monteith on rhythm guitar, Amos Williams on bass & backing vocals, Jay Postones on drums / percussion and still Daniel Tompkins on vocal.
Guests are not allowed to enter the venue with backpacks. Backpacks can be dropped off at the cloackroom on floor B1 or B3.
