We will meet at the Turkcell Stage on May 23rd, 2021 for "Anthroposenfoni", composed and brought to life by maNga and Tuluğ Tirpan for the first time at the PSM Jazz Festival!
We will experience a symphonic concert that tells about the four and a half billion-year history of the world and ends with the Anthropocene process caused by human beings. MTV Award-winning, Eurovision runner-up alternative Turkish rock band maNga was founded in Ankara in 2001. Their 2004 released first album took its place among the best-selling albums in Turkey. The group, which released 4 albums, 6 singles and maxi singles in the coming years, will eventually release their new album called “Anthroposen”. Graduate of the Vienna Conservatory and the Academy of Music, classical and jazz music pianists, composer Tuluğ Tirpan has performed symphonies, oratorios, concertos and chamber orchestra works. Beside musicals he has been exhibited in Austria, published his film and theater music in Turkey while releasing three jazz albums. Anthroposenfoni composed by maNga and Tuluğ Tirpan together with a symphony orchestra will come together for the first time at PSM Jazz Festival, and will explain how we have occupied the world and irreversibly destroyed it as human beings. Take your place at the Turkcell Stage on May 23rd for this impressive performance that aims to summarize the ecological disaster we have created.
