Fatih Erkoç will crown his 50th year in music at the Turkcell Stage on March 23rd with a symphony concert that he will perform specially with special guests for the PSM Jazz Festival!
Fatih Erkoç, who started playing the violin that was gifted to him at the age of three, entered the Istanbul Municipality Conservatory in 1965 after completing his primary education because of his interest in music and his father being a lute artist. He studied trombone, piano and double bass for 7 years here, but without graduating he started working with the Istanbul Gelişim Orchestra, one of the most popular orchestras of that period. Erkoç stepped into his first professional stage life in the early 70s and released an album called "Finally" with this orchestra in 1971. Short term trombone artist of the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra Erkoç, after staying 11 years in Norway makes a definite return to Turkey, in 1986 and 1989 he wins the Kusadasi Golden Pigeon Song Contest with his songs " Yol Verin A Dostlar" and "Sen ve Ben”. In June 1988, he released his first album titled “Yol Verin A Dostlar”. Erkoç, who has successfully performed many music types from jazz to pop in his professional career, will crown his 50th anniversary on stage with the symphonic concert and very special guest musicians on March 23rd at PSM Jazz Festival!
