Eastern music history comes to life at PSM Jazz Festival on May 22nd with Anouar Brahem Quartet!
Anouar Brahem, one of the greatest musicians in the Arab world, studied classical Arabic music with udî Ali Sriti. He played in wedding orchestras at a young age. He collaborated with many master artists from different cultures such as Jan Garbarek, Richard Galliano, Dave Holland, Manu Dibango, Shaukat Hussain. For the first time, Anouar Brahem will perform a mix of different projects from successful albums and new arrangements from his ECM albums: The Astounding Eyes of Rita, Thimar, Madar, Blue Maqams, Astrakan Café, and Le Voyage de Sahar. Dark and warm melodies of bass clarinet and oud, brought together by Anouar Brahem, accompanied by Klaus Gesing, Björn Meyer, and Khaled Yassine, will come to life on May 22nd at the PSM Jazz Festival.
