American jazz guitarist Mike Stern made his breakthrough with the famous band Blood, Sweat & Tears. He published 15 esteemed solo albums while playing with Miles Davis Band for two separate short periods of time. He was named Best Jazz Guitarist by the Guitar Player Magazine in 1993 and was awarded the Miles Davis Award for his contributions to jazz music in the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal in 2007.
Dave Weckl, one of the most reputable drummers of the jazz world, published substantial albums throughout his solo career and with Dave Weckl Band. The American musician, who had a chance to work with Paul Simon, Madonna, George Benson, Michel Camilo, Robert Plant, Anthony Jackson and Chick Corea Elektric Band, was accepted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 2000.
Tom Kennedy, who was brought up as a jazz musician thanks to his trumpeter father and pianist brother, worked with many esteemed jazz musicians including Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Stitt, Stan Kenton, James Moody, Barney Kessel, Eddie Harris, George Russell, Nat Adderley, Peter Erskine, Bill Watrous, Freddie Hubbard and Al Di Meola. While accompanying some on stage, the US-born musician was present for some of the album recordings of these musicians, as well as publishing 4 albums of his own.
Bob Malach, one of the most reputable saxophonists of the jazz world, had the opportunity to work with The Spinners, Lou Rawls and The Jackson Five at a very young age. Having accompanied masters such as Stanley Clarke, Horace Silver and Stevie Wonder on stage, Malach was together with Steve Miller as he went on his tour and present for the recording of the first Madonna album.
