Described as “a wild genius” by Jordan Rudess, multi-instrumentalist, composer, conductor and arranger Eren Başbuğ and his band will be at Studio with their latest project “An Evening of Progressive Metal” as a part of Lokalize series on December 4!
Eren began his musical journey with piano at the age of four. Growing up through an intensive conservatory training as a classical concert pianist and conductor, he graduated from Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts as the most successful student. Expanding his musical spectrum, Eren moved to Boston to continue his studies in Berklee College of Music, majoring in Film Scoring and Electronic Production & Design. During his time through Berklee, he has already put his name as arranger and conductor on numerous commercial releases worldwide such as Dream Theater’s “Dream Theater,” “Breaking the Fourth Wall” and “Live at Luna Park,” as well as Jordan Rudess’s first orchestral album “Explorations.”
Defining home as his stage, Eren has been on a worldwide tour as a keyboardist with Video Game Orchestra, Berklee Silent Film Orchestra, Jeff Williams, IVORY, Ayumi Ueda, as well as his band. Başbuğ and his group will be presenting their latest performances of most sought-after progressive metal selections from Dream Theater, Opeth, Steven Wilson, Pain of Salvation, Tool and Liquid Tension Experiment at the Studio!
