mor ve ötesi, one of the most important representatives of Turkish rock scene, will be at Zorlu PSM on February 16th with a symphonic setup! They will be accompanied by the Eurasian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by the conductor Orçun Orçunsel and the Magma Chorus under the direction of Chief Masis Aram Gözbek.
Becoming one of the defining names of the Turkish rock music scene with a total of 8 albums, 1 EP and 2 singles over a career that spans 20 years, mor ve ötesi also contributed to the albums of esteemed artists. The band reinterpreted the songs titled 1945, “Telli Telli” and “Sen Varsın” for the tribute albums of Onno Tunç, Murathan Mungan and Bülent Ortaçgil respectively, representing Turkey at Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 with the song called “Deli”.
Having released their debut album “Şehir” in 1996, the band has celebrated their 20th year anniversary throughout 2016, featuring various surprises. Aiming to release box sets throughout the year, mor ve ötesi presented Kayıtlar 1996-2004, which features the remastered versions of “Şehir”, “Bırak Zaman Aksın” and “Gül Kendine” albums and appears as the first part in a set of three box sets, on the DMC label right after the release of the single titled “Anlatamadım” in May 2016. “Kayıtlar 2005-2016”, which is a follow-up to the first set, was released in November 2016, quickly followed by part three, which featured all the song and lyrics, as well as never before seen footage and other surprises. For the anniversary celebrations, they released another single called “Melekler Ölmez” which became a huge success right after the release.
